Fit For Work Service Scrapped

The Government has decided to ditch its Fit for Work service, blaming “low referral rates”.

Since its launch, the Fit for Work service has faced scepticism among both GPs and employers about its use and usefulness.

The Fit for Work helpline, website and web chat facility will still be available, but the service’s key referral and return-to-work element will no longer be in use.
