Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW) 2018
Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW) 2018
Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW) runs from 14th to 20th May 2018, with the aim of raising awareness of mental health and wellbeing issues.
This year’s theme is Stress. The Mental Health Foundation believes: “By tackling stress, we can go a long way to tackle mental health problems such as anxiety and depression, and, in some instances, self-harm and suicide.”
Mind, the mental health charity, comments: “The day-to-day demands and pressures of work should not be a barrier to good mental health. If you want to attract and retain committed employees, prioritising the mental health of your staff needs to be core business in your organisation.”
